On August 19, Opple Lighting entered the Chinese capital market and was successfully listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The number of shares issued in this public offering is 58 million shares, and no old shares will be transferred. The issue price is 14.94 yuan/share. As of the close of trading at 11 a.m. on August 19, Opple Lighting's stock price closed at 21.51 yuan, an increase of 43.98%.
2. Corporate Semi-annual Reports
In recent days, in addition to Cree announcing its fourth quarter financial report for the 2016 fiscal year, several companies such as Huacan, Nationstar, Jinko, Ocean King, and Qinshang have also released their semi-annual "report cards." How are the mid-year exams for each company?
Judging from the semi-annual reports of LED listed companies that have been published so far, in the first half of 2016, the company's operating income has achieved varying degrees of growth, except for Ocean King Lighting, which has declined slightly year-on-year. The revenue growth of Jinko Electronics and Jiawei has even reached more than 200%. In terms of net profit, except for Qianzhao Optoelectronics, which has declined, all have increased. Among them, Jiawei Co., Ltd. and Alto Electronics experienced the largest increases, with net profits increasing by more than 16 times.
This represents an increase of 2% compared to revenue of $382 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. Compared to the third quarter of fiscal 2016, this was an increase of 6%. On a non-GAAP basis, net income in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016 was US$19 million, and net loss in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015 was US$21 million.
Cree's total revenue for fiscal year 2016 was US$1.62 billion, a decrease of 1% compared with total revenue of US$1.63 billion in fiscal year 2015. On a non-GAAP basis, net income for fiscal 2016 was $88 million, compared with net income of $71 million for fiscal 2015.
