To attack Micro LED, Leijie Technology builds a process development laboratory

In recent years, Leijie Technology, a company invested by Huite, has made every effort to develop Micro LED process equipment, focusing on laser chip stripping, removal, transfer and crystal replacement machines. These four types of equipment are the core machines for Micro LED to enter mass production applications.

Micro LEDs with self-luminous properties are brighter and more power-saving than existing display technologies. The production line usually produces small-sized Micro LEDs first, and then splices them into large sizes according to terminal requirements. This is different from the LCD method, which is to cut large pieces of glass into small pieces after the process is completed.

To enter the new Micro LED industry, it is not necessary to invest tens of billions or even hundreds of billions of NT dollars in wafer or LCD factories, but there is a high technical threshold. Chen Honglong, chairman of Leijie, said that manufacturers that master key technologies and sufficient funds will have the opportunity to become a member of the Micro LED industry.

Mini LED has matured, but the Micro LED industry has just begun. Chen Honglong said that everyone is at the same starting line, and Taiwan is relatively advantageous with its existing technological strength. For Lei Jie and companies interested in diversified expansion, Micro LED can be said to be a once-in-a-century turning point.

Lei Jie has established a Micro LED process development laboratory in the Hsinchu factory. As long as customers provide Micro LED chips, the chips can be stripped, removed, transferred and refilled in the laboratory. For the key laser manufacturing processes, Leijie has the advantages of relevant laser technologies and can also provide material verification services.

Chen Honglong said that in response to the continued research and development needs of Micro LED equipment, a cash capital increase will be made in the near future. After the funds are in place, the R&D team will be expanded and a Class 100 process laboratory will be built to provide a better μLED laser transfer laboratory environment.
