On April 2, at the ICDT 2024 Exhibitor Forum, Mr. Wang Chunbo, Vice President of Vogel Group, delivered a speech on "The Evolutionary Status and Future Prospects of MLED" and gave a wonderful interpretation of Vogel's present and future in the MLED field.

Mr. Wang believes that although Mini/Micro is now There are many technical routes such as SMT, MIP, and COB in the field of LED packaging, but we believe that COB is the ultimate future. The first reason is that COB can break through the SMT pitch limit, achieve higher pixel density, and have more flexible point pitch design. The second reason is that we believe that MIP is just a transitional form of COB. COB has an absolute lead over MIP in terms of reliability and stability. At the same time, because COB does not have a lamp cup packaging link, the Chip is directly mounted on the Board. At the same scale, the cost of COB is much lower than MIP.

Mr. Wang said that glass substrate and mass transfer technology are the two core elements for realizing Mini/Micro LED in the future, and Vogel has forward-looking strategic layout in the above two key areas.
