When watching the Guangzhou exhibition, you must pay attention to the LED transparent screen

On February 27, the four-day 2016 Guangzhou International Advertising Sign and LED Exhibition ("ISLE") came to an end in Area B of the Canton Fair Complex. In addition to the continued popularity of small spacing at this exhibition, another highlight is the collective appearance of LED transparent screens. After the transparent screen made a splash at the 11th Shanghai International LED Exhibition in September last year, the residual heat has not receded. This time, the LED transparent screen has returned to the spotlight and has become a hot topic at this exhibition.

In this exhibition, there are more than 10 companies exhibiting with LED transparent screens. Except for some traditional LED transparent screen manufacturers - Helno, Yipin, Jinghong, and Oreda ( See Table 1 below), and there are many new faces, including Unilumin (P10 sky screen), Kangshuozhan (P16×33 outdoor direct-plug light bar screen), Lijing (P25 outdoor direct-plug light bar screen), Withem, Dinghui, Sanxinwei, etc.

As we all know, LED transparent screens have a unique display method, light and thin design, strong technological atmosphere, no need for steel frame structure, easy installation and maintenance, and good transparency performance. It can be said to be high-end and classy. Currently it is widely used in glass curtain wall buildings, large shopping malls, sightseeing elevators, 4S stores and various glass showcases.

Currently, many companies in the industry are involved in the R&D and production of LED transparent screens. The more representative companies are Jinghong Technology, Oreda, Yipin Optoelectronics and Herno. The pixel spacing of Jinghong Technology’s XR5, ; Ice Screen V and Ice Screen H have a dot spacing of 3.9×7.8 (mm), while Hernau’s P5 product has a dot spacing of 5×6.67 (mm); the transmittance of P10 products is >70%.

It is true that LED transparent screens have many advantages over traditional LED displays, but at the same time, they also face some challenges. That is how to improve its stability, and how to reduce costs while ensuring quality, further reduce the price, and improve its market acceptance. These are also two major problems that many LED transparent screen manufacturers in the industry need to continue to pay attention to and overcome in the future.
