Under the same scale, the COB cost is much lower than the packaging level MIP. The main battlefield of package-level MIP is in the field of Mini LED. Its products are mainly used in commercial displays, XP photography, consumer fields, etc., and are not suitable for professional applications such as government and medical. Its spacing is limited, and it cannot fully enter the Micro LED field. Therefore, package-level MIP is only an extension of the original capabilities and a continuation of the industry cycle. It does not represent the future, let alone a broad future. Chip-level MIP is essentially a change in the arrangement of RGB chips. Its process is still solid crystal or mass transfer, which is basically consistent with the future technology path of COB. However, because its cost is too high and mass production capacity cannot be guaranteed, it is still difficult to achieve batch supply in the short term. Until the industry technology, manufacturing costs, production equipment and other dimensions are unified and mature, the Micro LED field will remain parallel to COB until the market and users make the final choice. COB will be the mainstream technology of Mini LED and the only way to Micro LED.

Compared with traditional displays, COB displays have significant advantages such as high reliability, high protection, high brightness, high contrast, and high color reproduction.
