Zhengzhou Airport Area 7 billion yuan to build sapphire device industrial park

Yesterday, the groundbreaking ceremony for 18 major projects in the Zhengzhou Airport Experimental Zone was held at the Sinotrans Central Regional Logistics Network Hub project site. Hu Quan, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Zhang Yanming, director of the Management Committee of the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, and Huang Qing and Ma Suowen, deputy directors of the Management Committee, attended the ceremony.

The total investment of these 18 projects reaches 17.2 billion yuan. They are all key projects in "building large hubs, cultivating large industries, and shaping metropolitan areas." They involve leading industries such as aviation logistics, high-end manufacturing, and modern service industries. They are of great significance to the experimental zone in creating industrial agglomerations, improving logistics hub functions, and improving urban supporting facilities. Among them, there are 4 industrial projects with a total investment of 9.33 billion yuan, including the Zhengzhou Airport Sapphire Device Industrial Park with an investment of 7 billion yuan, the Sinotrans Central Regional Logistics Network Hub Phase I project with an investment of 1 billion yuan, and the Henan Henan Project with an investment of 680 million yuan. Bangren Pharmaceutical Logistics Park project, the second phase of the smart terminal (mobile phone) industrial park with an investment of 650 million yuan; 4 social undertaking projects with a total investment of 3 billion yuan, including the Henan Provincial Public Health Medical Center with an investment of 1.6 billion yuan, and the Henan Provincial People's Government with an investment of 800 million yuan. The Comprehensive Security Service Center of the Social Affairs Department, the Zhengzhou First People's Hospital Port District Hospital with an investment of 490 million yuan, and the Henan Yuren International School with an investment of 120 million yuan; 4 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 1.3 billion yuan, namely Zhiyang Road, Airport South Road, There are four roads, Meihe East Road and Qianjin Road, with a total construction mileage of 21.6 kilometers; 6 urban construction projects with a total investment of 3.52 billion yuan, including the resettlement area construction project in the southern area of the Airport Experimental Zone, with a total construction area of 1.06 million square meters. Zhengzhou Airport Sapphire Device Industrial Park, which has the largest investment among the projects started, has a construction area of nearly 700,000 square meters. It mainly builds four industrial clusters: sapphire crystal materials, sapphire window material processing for consumer electronics, new generation LED lighting fixtures, and sapphire special equipment.

According to preliminary statistics, in the first nine months of this year, the experimental zone is expected to complete a regional GDP of 23.8 billion yuan, an increase of about 15%; and a fixed asset investment of 29 billion yuan, an increase of about 85%. Since the beginning of this year, the experimental zone has signed a total of 45 new projects with a total investment of 115.2 billion yuan. In the next step, the experimental zone will conscientiously implement the "1355" promotion mechanism, actively solve the difficulties and problems encountered during project construction, and race against time and make every effort to promote project construction. The project builder will also strictly follow the planning and design to reverse the construction period, speed up the progress, and ensure that the project is completed and put into use as soon as possible.
