ams-OSRAM and Igor reached a licensing agreement for OSRAM brand LED drivers

On March 30, ams-OSRAM reached a new cooperation on general lighting components through the OSRAM brand licensing project. According to the agreement, Chinese company Igor is authorized to produce and sell general lighting LED driver products branded OSRAM in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) starting from March 1, 2026.

This move is mainly to ensure that the Osram brand can still maintain its strong brand influence in the general lighting field after the current brand licensing cooperation for LED drivers and other lighting components expires on April 3, 2026.

As a company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Igor's business covers both the energy and communications fields, and has always been a trustworthy electronic component partner in the lighting industry. The Osram brand LED drivers it produces and sells will become the flagship product of the company's lighting business.

This agreement will support the OSRAM brand to continue to develop in the field of professional lighting components closely related to its brand history for many years to come. It should be noted that this new series of LED drivers is not a direct replacement for current or existing Osram brand products.

Dr. Jens Kraft, Director of Intellectual Property Licensing of ams OSRAM, said that he is very pleased to welcome Igor to the OSRAM brand licensing project and become a new partner. Although the company sold related businesses a few years ago, through its cooperation with Igor, the Osram brand has been able to continue to maintain its influence in the LED driver field.

It is reported that in 2025, ams Osram will officially launch the intellectual property licensing business (IP Offerings) to expand the Osram brand into new product categories. Recently, ams OSRAM has cooperated with EURES GmbH in the fields of household consumer batteries, cooperated with Ziwu Biotechnology in the field of health and beauty products, and recently reached the latest cooperation with Igor on LED drivers for the general lighting market.
