BOE Huacan: Demonstrates 0.13” Micro LED AR display module

On September 11, BOE Global Innovation Partner Conference 2025 (BOE IPC 2025) was held in Beijing.

At this conference, BOE Huacan, a subsidiary of BOE A (000725.SZ), exhibited a Micro LED 0The .13" display module has attracted great attention in the industry. It is understood that this product is BOE Huacan's first AR solution. It is worth mentioning that a reporter from Cailian News learned from the supply chain that Xinxiang Wei (688593.SH), which had previously officially announced its entry into AR glasses, is one of the suppliers of this product.

It is reported that the Micro LED 0.13" display module has the characteristics of low power consumption, high brightness, appearance yield, and high uniformity, with a peak brightness of 400W nit.

In terms of microdisplay device manufacturing, this module adopts leading high-precision, low-damage processing technology and light pattern control technology, which not only achieves high-quality display effects, but also has mass production capabilities. At present, this product has been officially opened for sample supply and delivery, which can fully meet customer needs.

On the other hand, Xinxiang Micro has been focusing on the research and development, design and sales of display chip products since its establishment.

Public information shows that Xinxiang Micro IPOOne of the investment projects, the "Shanghai Advanced Display Chip R&D Center Construction Project" is mainly used for the research and development of high pixel density Mini/MicroLED driver chips and advanced display chips. Mini/MicroLED has been regarded as a future technology for large-scale application of AR glasses.

TrendForce said that among the many Micro LED display application fields, Micro LED micro-displays will be a new high-end product that continues the development of large-scale displays. It is expected that the output value of Micro LED AR smart glasses display chips will be US$41 million (approximately 275 million yuan) by 2026.

Under this circumstance, the implementation of Xinxiang Micro's Mini/Micro-LED technology in the XR field has become the focus of attention from all walks of life.

In March this year, Xinxiang Micro Official announced that AR glasses have been mass-produced. The company revealed in an institutional survey that the company continues to invest in the research and development of next-generation new display technologies such as Mini/Micro-LED, and has achieved shipment of its first AR glasses-related products in the first quarter of 2025. It will actively expand more downstream customers in the future.

For a long time, Xinxiang Micro has maintained cooperative relationships with domestic head panel companies such as BOE A, Shentianma A (000050.SZ), Visionox (002387.SZ), and it has not yet been determined who the customer behind the company's first AR glasses product is. This time, a supply chain source close to Xinxiang Micro confirmed to a reporter from Cailian News that Xinxiang Micro's AR glasses products are part of BOE Huacan Optoelectronics' Micro LED 0.13" display module.

"Currently, Xinxiang Micro's technology is at the forefront in China. In addition to AR glasses, there are other application scenarios that can be explored and developed, such as optical communications, vehicles, laser printing and other fields that can be promoted and used. The future is promising. "The above-mentioned supply chain people close to Xin Xiangweiexpress.
