Zhaochi Micro LED CPO optical chip officially delivered samples


On March 12, Zhaochi announced that the Micro LED light source chip for Micro LED optical interconnection CPO (co-packaged optics) technology has successfully completed the research and development work and is currently in the sample verification and testing stage.

On March 10, Zhaochi Wuhan Optical Communications R&D Center was also officially put into operation. The research center will carry out integration research on cutting-edge technologies such as silicon photonics integration, co-packaged optics (CPO) and near-field packaged optics (NPO). At the same time, the R&D team will also explore low-power paths such as linear drive pluggable optics (LPO), as well as the application potential of new materials such as Micro LED in optical devices.

With an initial investment of 500 million yuan, the Micro LED AR glasses project in Liuzhou, Guangxi started construction

On March 6, the Jueyuan Chuangzhi Technology Intelligent Display Terminal (Guangxi) manufacturing base with an initial investment of 500 million yuan started construction. The project will build a Micro LED light engine and smart glasses ODM R&D and manufacturing base, including a smart glasses precision production and intelligent manufacturing center. The project is expected to be officially put into production in the first half of 2026. In the initial stage of production, it is expected to achieve a monthly production capacity of 10,000 sets of smart glasses and 100,000 sets of light engines.

Fucai Micro LED officially enters mass production in the first quarter


On March 6, Fucai stated that the company’s Micro LED products have passed customer verification and will be officially mass-produced in the first quarter of 2026. The company's management expects that Micro LED will transition from the research and development stage to substantial revenue contribution starting this year, and is expected to become an important growth driver in the next two years.

Foreign media: Meta is advancing the mass production of Micro LED microdisplays

According to news on March 9, foreign media reported that in order to realize the plan to release Micro LED AR glasses in 2027, Meta is fully committed to the mass production preparations for Micro LED microdisplays. Meta is recruiting senior manufacturing engineers for its team in Sunnyvale, California, with the main task of driving its external core partners to ramp up the production of RGB Micro LED chips.

The 2026 Frankfurt Lighting Fair opens, and domestic companies such as Foshan Lighting/Ruifeng/Inventronics will participate in the exhibition


On March 8, the 2026 Frankfurt Lighting Fair opened. Domestic companies participating in this exhibition cover multiple aspects of lighting, LED driving power supplies, light source modules and intelligent control. Specifically, they include terminal applications and lighting brands such as Foshan Lighting, Op Lighting, Debang Lighting; LED packaging and light source module companies such as Ruifeng Optoelectronics and Lidelda; LED driving power supply companies such as Inventronics, Moso Power Supply, Songsheng Power Supply, and intelligent control and supporting service companies such as Yuanfang Information.

As low as 6999 yuan, Hisense releases RGB-Mini LED TV E7S Pro


On March 10, Hisense officially launched the E7S Pro, a high-performance flagship TV equipped with Hisense’s new RGB-Mini LED technology, covering mainstream sizes from 65 to 100 inches. The product has 100% BT.2020 native color gamut, up to 7560 color control zones and 5100nits peak brightness. The prices of the 100/85/75/65-inch versions of the E7S Pro with state subsidies are 18,499 yuan, 11,499 yuan, 8,499 yuan, and 6,999 yuan respectively.

Huawei Vision smart screen 6 series released, equipped with Super Mini LED technology


On March 11, Huawei released Vision Smart Screen 6 and 6 SE. Among them, Huawei Vision Smart Screen 6 is equipped with a 4K Super Mini LED 288Hz black crystal screen, with a light transmittance increased by 20%. The screen provides a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The product is available in four versions of 65/75/85/98 inches, priced at 6199/7399/10299/16499 yuan respectively.

Huawei Vision Smart Screen 6 SE is equipped with a Super Mini LED sixth-generation LCD screen, which supports 178° viewing angle, 4K 288Hz double frequency high brush, 1500 nits peak brightness, 20bit light control, and 235000:1 contrast ratio. The product is available in four versions of 55/65/75/85 inches, priced at 3899/4899/5899/7899 yuan respectively.

Changhong launches RGB-Mini LED TV Gold Label T70S


According to news on March 12, at the AWE 2026 exhibition, Changhong launched the RGB-Mini LED TV Changhong Gold Label T70S, which uses the black diamond unbounded screen Ultra jointly customized by BOE and has 4K 180Hz native high brush. The 85/100-inch prices are 19,997 yuan and 32,997 yuan respectively.

Chuimi released a variety of TVs, equipped with Micro LED, RGB Mini LED and other technologies


According to news on March 12, at the AWE 2026 exhibition, Chuimi released a variety of TV products:

Among them, the 136-inch Micro LED TV INNIX X9000 supports pixel-level independent light control and one-core, one-drive drive architecture, with 99% share DCI-P3 color gamut and 1200nits peak brightness, and has a service life of more than 100,000 hours.

INNIX W6000 Pro TV, with the support of RGB-Mini LED technology, achieves 100% BT.2020 color gamut coverage, with 9360 color control partitions and 108-bit color accuracy, and the color accuracy is controlled at ΔE<0.7.

INNIX Z8000 AI fully transparent TV uses RGB-Mini LED technology, its peak brightness reaches 10,000nits, and has 16,128 light control zones and 48,384 color control zones.

INNIX Aura Mini LED S3000 TV is equipped with red light quantum dot eye protection technology. The screen color gamut reaches 103% BT.2020 level. The TV also uses Aura Mini LED backlight system and Black Crystal Color Screen Pro technology to achieve high contrast performance.

In addition, Zhuimi also released the INNIX Aura Mini LED R8000 series of transformable TVs, equipped with exclusive black crystal color screen technology, with 1.28% ultra-low reflectivity and AG25 anti-glare structure, and through a channel-by-channel color calibration algorithm to achieve ΔE<1 professional-level color accuracy and DCI P3≥98% color gamut performance.

TCL launches two Mini LED flagship displays


On March 5, TCL launched two Mini LED flagship displays, among which the C3A Pro uses TCL’s latest HFS Shoot screen and Vientiane partition QD-Mini LED backlight, providing 2304 partitions of global halo control, with a peak brightness of up to 1400nits and a maximum XDR of 2200nits.

P2A Ultra focuses on e-sports experience, equipped with HFS Shoot panel, native 2K resolution and 500Hz refresh rate, and supports 1040Hz ultra-high-speed mode. Each product has 180 Mini LED Vientiane partitions, providing a peak brightness of 800nits, and Tmoc technology achieves 1ms GTG and 0.1ms MPRT response.

BOE launches its first cycling sports glasses, equipped with Micro LED + diffractive optical waveguide


On March 12, at AWE 2026, BOE launched its innovative product for the field of smart glasses - S7 AI + AR cycling sports glasses, which use Micro LED + diffractive optical waveguide technology to project key information such as navigation routes and real-time vehicle speed directly to the front of the user's field of vision. In addition, S7 also integrates intelligent functions such as voice wake-up, voice teaming and social sharing of riding data.

Robam Electric releases the world’s first AI cooking glasses


Robam Electric released the world's first AI cooking glasses at the AWE exhibition. The glasses are equipped with a self-developed "God of Cooking" large model and provide real-time cooking guidance through AR technology. According to relevant media analysis, the display solution for the glasses is single green Micro LED or LCoS, ensuring that it is visible in strong light environments and does not block the line of sight. The appearance of the glasses is similar to Gudong Technology’s Star 1s and weighs about 89 grams.

Chuimi’s “Waterscape AQUA 100” AR smart swimming goggles were unveiled


Chuimi announced the launch of a “Waterscape AQUA” at AWE 2026 100" AR smart swimming goggles, using diffraction light waveguide technology, provide a 30° field of view, can achieve a 640x480 resolution monocular green display, and support the display of swimming duration, stroke frequency, pace data, heart rate changes, exercise mileage and other core sports data.

HOYi Mira, HOYi Mira’s first consumer-grade AR glasses, is unveiled


Yudong Ruiyi brought the first consumer-grade AR glasses-HOYi Mira at the AWE 2026 exhibition. This product uses a 4K ultra-high-definition, high-contrast, and high-color reproduction Micro OLED microdisplay. After wearing the glasses, it can present a cinema-level and e-sports-level immersive giant screen larger than 140 inches.

Mercedes-Benz pure electric luxury MPV VLE was released, equipped with Micro LED smart digital headlights


On March 10, Mercedes-Benz released its new pure electric luxury MPV model VLE. As for the exterior lights, Mercedes-Benz VLE is equipped with a Digital Light digital headlight system, which uses Micro LED technology. When passengers approach the vehicle, the light set instantly flashes to signal. Currently, Mercedes-Benz's mid-term facelift S-Class, pure electric GLC SUV and other models are equipped with Micro LED pixel headlights.

With revenue of US$42.5 million, Nitron released its 2025 financial results


On March 9, Micro LED manufacturer PlayNitride announced its financial results for 2025. For the full year of 2025, Nichuang achieved revenue of US$42.5 million (approximately RMB 308 million), a decrease from US$55.5 million (approximately RMB 402 million) in 2024. In terms of profit performance, Nichuang turned from profit to loss, recording a net loss of US$3.7 million in 2025.

AICA released its 2025 annual report


On March 6, AICA released its 2025 annual report. During the reporting period, it achieved operating income of 1.178 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.47%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was a loss. During the reporting period, the company's lighting business achieved sales revenue of approximately 520 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 17.37%.
