Huacan Optoelectronics Micro LED project officially started with a total investment of 5 billion yuan

According to Huacan Optoelectronics’ official WeChat account, the groundbreaking ceremony for Huacan Optoelectronics’ Micro LED wafer manufacturing and packaging testing base project was held in Jinwan District, Zhuhai. Upon completion, it will become the world’s leading Micro LED R&D and production base. It is reported that the total investment of the project is 5 billion yuan, and the annual output value will reach 5 billion yuan after reaching full production. The total investment in the first phase of the project is over 2 billion yuan, and it is planned to be put into production in the third quarter of 2024. The project products are Micro LED wafers and pixel devices. After completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 58,800 Micro LED wafer sets and 45,000.00kk Micro LED pixel devices. It is mainly aimed at ultra-large and ultra-small size high-definition display scenarios and is used in application fields such as large-size commercial displays, AR/VR head-mounted display devices, and wearable devices.
