The "power struggle" between Wang Donglei and Wu Changjiang has become increasingly complicated in the "you and me" war of words between Beijing and Chongqing; Wang Donglei's "forced takeover" of the Wanzhou and Huizhou factories is part of the "clandestine struggle" behind the "overt struggle" between the two parties.
After the "forced takeover" on August 8, Wang Donglei successfully took control of the NVC Huizhou factory, while the Wanzhou factory was still under the control of Wu Changjiang.
However, behind the fight between the two parties, the most injured person is undoubtedly NVC Lighting. Yesterday (12th), reporters saw at the NVC Wanzhou factory that there was no sign of production in the factory area. The factory's former executives and Wang Donglei's subordinates were negotiating under the coordination of the local government.
It is understood that the factory is one of the four major production bases of NVC Lighting in the country, with an annual output value of hundreds of millions of yuan. A middle-level manager of the factory told reporters that on the evening of August 8, Dehao asked a locksmith to open the door and take away the official seal. After that, the factory's bank account was also frozen by a letter using the official seal. The factory stopped production for one day and lost about 2 million yuan in output value.
Zhang Baoyu, CEO of Wanzhou Factory, who was dismissed by Wang Donglei with a notice, told reporters, "We senior executives do not recognize Wang Donglei's unreasonable dismissal notice."
It is understood that during the negotiations, Zhang Baoyu did not accept the joint management proposal put forward by the local government.
DeHao looking for a locksmith to open the door and get the official seal?
At noon on August 12, the reporter arrived at the NVC plant in Wanzhou, a four-hour drive from Chongqing. Although a few days have passed since the mandatory takeover on August 8, the plant remains heavily guarded.
On the road outside the factory, a police car was parked at the door, while a dozen cars were parked on the side of the busy road. Yang Mei (a pseudonym), a middle manager of the factory who has worked for many years, told reporters, "Those cars are theirs (Dehao).”
Yang Mei recalled that almost at the same time as Wang Donglei's "Quanwu Xing" at NVC headquarters in Chongqing, a number of cars with Guangdong Zhuhai license plates parked outside the NVC Wanzhou factory. At that time, hundreds of people forced the door of the factory to open, and later posted announcements of dismissals and dismissals of several executives everywhere in the factory area.
In addition, a report from the Wanzhou factory to the police obtained by the reporter showed that on Monday, August 11, the administrative department and financial department of the factory found that the company's official seal, business license, etc. were lost when they went to work, and they were all locked in the file cabinet before.
Zhang Baoyu told reporters that around 9 pm on August 8, Dehao hired a professional locksmith, opened several office doors to search for information, and finally took away official seals, etc. During this period, they also controlled a security guard of the factory. Zhang Baoyu said that after the report was reported, the police opened an investigation and made notes on the locksmith and others, but there was no progress in the incident since then. However, the reporter could not confirm Zhang Baoyu’s statement from Dehao.
According to Zhang Baoyu, at noon on August 11, he received a notice from the bank that someone had frozen two bank accounts of the factory with an official letter stamped with an official seal. A financial officer of the factory told reporters that paying wages to workers requires capital turnover. Without capital accounts, large-scale production would be impossible. Calculated based on the previous scale, the factory lost 2 million yuan in output value per day.
The two sides refused to give in and it was difficult for the Wanzhou factory to resume production.
After the local government intervened, the situation at the NVC Wanzhou factory began to become delicate. Wang Donglei controlled the factory's official seals, certificates and other items, while Wu Changjiang still had actual control over the factory.
Although Dehao has announced the removal and dismissal of four senior executives at NVC Wanzhou Factory, and appointed a new senior management team. However, Zhang Baoyu believed that the removal and dismissal procedures were illegal, and there was no legitimate reason for the removal. There was no advance notice, and several senior executives did not approve it.
Around 4:00 pm on August 12, the negotiations between the local government and the executives of both parties ended. Although negotiations began on August 11, there was no real progress.
On the other hand, the NVC Wanzhou factory stopped production for several days starting from the afternoon of August 8. NVC Wanzhou Factory opened in March 2009, covering an area of more than 500 acres and currently employs more than 2,300 people. It is one of the largest lighting product production bases in the west.
As a major local taxpayer, the NVC Wanzhou factory is obviously the government’s expectation to resume production as soon as possible. However, the reporter learned that the government proposed co-management by both parties during the negotiations, but Zhang Baoyu did not accept it. Yang Mei bluntly told reporters that there is no room for two tigers in one mountain and it is impossible to achieve co-management.
It is understood that during the negotiation process, Zhang Baoyu often discussed with his subordinates and lawyers, and also maintained calls with Wu Changjiang, and the negotiation demands were finally determined. Zhang Baoyu proposed that as a secondary company, it was directly responsible to Wu Changjiang and other management. Before the legal ruling of the NVC Lighting Board of Directors to remove Wu Changjiang as CEO, the Wanzhou factory should be restored to its original state, but this was obviously not recognized by Wang Donglei.
