On April 3, Magneti Marelli announced that it will display a variety of automotive lighting technologies that are ready for mass production at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show, which will be held from April 24 to May 3, covering the three major directions of headlights, taillights and high-resolution lighting modules.
The first one is the Thin Corner-to-Corner Headlamp, which is a through-type ultra-thin headlight solution that is ready for mass production and is developed for mass production models.
This solution uses a 15mm × 120mm slim lighting module, which not only achieves basic lighting and dynamic lighting effects, but also integrates touch and intelligent voice interaction functions: users can easily open the front trunk by touching the illuminated logo, or using voice commands that support Chinese, English, and voiceprint recognition. At the same time, this design also improves the design freedom of the vehicle's front face.
The second model is the Digital Light Cube Tail Light (Flat Lit Surface), which is a 3D digital tail light solution that is ready for large-scale mass production and supports software updates to expand functions. This technology combines OLED technology and Folia-LED surface light source technology. The OLED pixel size is 6mm, which can create a luminous surface with a three-dimensional visual effect. While realizing basic tail lighting functions such as brake lights, tail lights, and turn signals, it also supports dynamic scene lighting effects such as welcome and farewell, and can also realize personalized display content.
The third model is the h-Digi® MicroLED high-resolution headlamp, which is a MicroLED projection module for smart headlamp systems. It provides two pixel configurations, 25K and 40K, covering the needs of different vehicle segments.
Among them, the 25K version is a mature, compact and energy-efficient solution that can support high-precision adaptive high beam (ADB), adaptive front lighting, road projection and dynamic light animation; the 40K version will be released at this auto show, which further improves the pixel density and accuracy, and is specially designed for high-end car applications.
