Recently, Nationstar Optoelectronics and Edison Innovations (hereinafter referred to as "Edison") successfully signed a global KSF patent licensing agreement. This is the continuation and upgrade of Nationstar Optoelectronics' core patent layout in the field of display backlighting after obtaining GE's global KSF patent authorization in 2016 and 2022.
Edison's KSF display backlight technology patent portfolio originated from Dolby Laboratories' acquisition of GE Licensing's business and was formed after the integration of Dominion Harbor. The achievement of this authorization marks Nationstar Optoelectronics’ deep understanding and continued layout of the display backlight patent landscape.

With its significant advantages such as narrow half-wave width, high color purity, and high luminous efficiency, KSF (fluoride) phosphor can effectively improve the color gamut coverage of display devices, making images richer in color and clearer in images. It is currently the mainstream high color gamut solution in the display backlight market.

Relying on this authorization, Nationstar Optoelectronics will continue to deepen its technical layout in the fields of traditional backlight, Mini/Micro LED backlight, and automotive display. By empowering the design and implementation of high-color gamut products with KSF core technology, Nationstar Optoelectronics can provide global customers with full-scenario high-color gamut display solutions to accurately meet the upgrading requirements for image quality and energy efficiency in consumer electronics, TV, vehicle display and other application scenarios.
