It is understood that X3D Studio is located in a prime location in Singapore and was transformed from the historic Pasir Panjang old power station. The entire studio covers an area of 40,000 square meters, retaining the original high ceilings and spacious space. After one and a half years of careful design and construction, it integrated the most advanced virtual shooting technology and hardware equipment to become a Hollywood-level ultra-large-scale xR virtual studio.
The virtual production studio of X3D Studio is equipped with an 18x6m background screen with an area of 108 square meters. It is spliced by 432 DBmk2 cabinets with a point spacing of only 1.95mm. It uses CBSF color cast-free display technology to ensure the consistency of color difference and brightness at any shooting angle.
The entire screen resolution reaches 9216x3072, 16bit high grayscale and HDR10 cinema-level LED image quality, further improving the visual experience and creating one of the highest resolution screens in Asia. In addition to the DBmk2 main screen, X3D Studio also installed an AR3.9 sky screen with a total area of 6
4㎡, further enhancing the effect and flexibility of virtual production.
In terms of shooting equipment, X3D Studio is equipped with OptiTrack's PrimeX 41 and PrimeX 22 cinema cameras for real-time motion capture, as well as cutting-edge technologies such as the advanced CinePuck optical tracking system to achieve high-precision 3D simulation. It is also equipped with the famous ARRI Alexa 35 photography camera.
In addition, X3D Studio also has a Scorpio 45' telescopic boom, which provides precise camera movement and a wide shooting range, helping to provide more efficient virtual shooting capabilities and fully meet the diverse needs of creative shooting.
It is worth mentioning that Shijueguangxu's display screen is the world's first virtual production screen to obtain ARRI certification. This certification represents the high standard in the film industry. It means that X3D Studio has achieved high standard certification in terms of screen color management, video quality, professional production process and display performance.
