As 2024 comes to an end, many LED-related projects have made new progress at the end of the year. Companies such as BOE, Xingke Optoelectronics, and Qianlumen Lighting have advanced important projects in the field of LED display and lighting.

Completion acceptance of BOE’s 6th generation new semiconductor display device production line project

According to China Construction First Bureau, the A bid section of Beijing BOE’s 6th generation new semiconductor display device production line project, which it constructed, recently successfully passed the completion acceptance.

It is reported that BOE’s 6th generation new semiconductor display device production line project has a total construction area of ​​approximately 607,000 square meters, of which the construction area of ​​the A bid section is approximately 531,000 square meters.
The project has a total investment of 29 billion yuan and uses new semiconductor display technologies such as LTPS and LTPO. It mainly produces high-end display products such as VR display panels and Mini LED direct display backplanes. The glass substrate size is 1500mm×1850mm and the designed production capacity is 50,000 pieces per month.

In October 2022, BOE announced that its holding subsidiary Beijing BOE Chuangyuan Technology Co., Ltd. will invest in the construction of this production line, positioned as a sixth-generation new semiconductor display device production line applying LTPO technology, and strive to develop the VR display product market. The project officially started construction in February 2023, and the construction acceptance was completed recently.

The first production line of Xingke Optoelectronics project was put into operation, and the second phase of MLED was signed

According to the "Shaoxing Release" news, on the morning of December 28, the ignition and second phase signing ceremony of Zhejiang Xingke Optoelectronics Project was held in the North Square of Zhejiang Xingke Optoelectronics Project. The unveiling ceremony of Xingke Optoelectronics Industry Research Institute was also held on site.

It is understood that Zhejiang Xingke Optoelectronics project plans a total investment of 31 billion yuan and a total land area of ​​700 acres. The first phase will build a high-performance carrier glass production line, a strategic emerging industry intelligent manufacturing base and a research institute, and the second phase will build an MLED display chip and module production line, a high-end flexible display device production line, and an ultra-wide carrier glass production line, aiming to create a high-quality optoelectronic industry complex.

According to data, Zhejiang Xingke Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was established on March 29, 2024, with a registered capital of 5.7 billion yuan. Beijing Fuxin Jiaye Technology Co., Ltd. is the largest shareholder, holding 60% of the shares. Beijing Fuxin Jiaye Technology Co., Ltd. was established on May 18, 2022, with a registered capital of 1.5 billion yuan, and its legal representative is Wang Libo.

On December 28, the groundbreaking ceremony of Guangdong Qiangliu Ming Intelligent LED Automotive Lighting Manufacturing Project was held in Baini Town, Sanshui District, Foshan City.
