Recently, the latest flexible copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) bifacial cell developed by Shangyue Optoelectronics has achieved a major breakthrough. It has been certified by the Shanghai Institute of Microsystems, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIMIT) and has a photoelectric conversion efficiency of 32.54%, successfully surpassing the previous photoelectric conversion efficiency record of 30% for flexible CIGS bifacial cells set by the Swiss Federal Laboratory (EMPA) in November 2022.

Flexible CIGS bifacial solar cells have obvious advantages in improving energy efficiency, adapting to various scenarios, reducing costs and enhancing reliability. They are one of the important development directions in the current solar field.
